Do You Want To Be A Teacher?
We are pleased to announce we have been awarded the Silver Award from the Woodland Trust. It has been an ongoing project since last year; we have been recycling in school and creating images using natural materials. To gain the Silver award we have planted trees, created tree champions and the school council have made posters about reducing CO2 emissions. We will be continuing with eco activities hoping to achieve the gold award.

We hope you all have a good weekend and take time to reflect with your families over the Bank Holiday weekend.
Over the last 18 months Shoeburyness & Thorpe Bay Baptist Church have run a project called MUNCH. During the school holidays we prepare free recipe kits which include ingredients to make a meal for four, they are available for any family to collect from us. The digital flyer below contains all the information.
Essex Fire Museum.
This is situated in Grays (behind the fire station). We have got three open days coming up in the school holiday:
On these days there will be opportunities for families to get involved in history trails around the museum, craft activities and a chance to sit on the fire engines (and squirt water😊).
The museum is free entry (but visits are by appointment only……..as we are on the site of an operational fire station).
If families are interested, could they please email us at: museum@essex-fire.gov.uk and tell us the number in their party and the time they would like to arrive (we are open from 10.00am to 4.00pm). This is just because we have to keep the station informed of numbers throughout the day.
Our address and contact details are:
Fire Station, Hogg Lane, Grays RM17 5QS
Email: museum@essex-fire.gov.uk
Website: Fire Museum (essex-fire.gov.uk)
The museum is free entry.
